Wyoming Advocates for youth
Wyoming Advocates for Youth consists of Alumni of out of home care, such as formal foster care, including but not limited to, group homes, treatment facilities, mental health facilities and institutions, over the age of 17. The members of Wyoming’s Advocates for Youth dedicate their time, energy, and experiences to creating a sense of belonging, friendship, and support. They advocate the prosperity of Wyoming’s young adults by building hope, changing policies to better the system, empowering current youth in care and securing their future. Four members of WAY participated in this Photovoice project. These individuals represent a diversity of experiences within Wyoming’s system of care. As with all Photovoice projects their names have been changed to protect their privacy.
